Groundbreaking‌ Ceremony Held for 80GWh Battery Project

On‌ September 26, CORNEX held a groundbreaking ceremony for a new-generation 80GWh‌ lithium battery project in Longquan Town, Yiling District, Yichang. This project is one of​ three major bases for CORNEX Company.

Phase I of the ​CORNEX (Yichang) Lithium ⁣Battery Industrial Park began construction in August 2022 and commenced production in August 2023, currently boasting a production⁣ capacity of 65GWh ⁢and employing 5,000 people.

Project Details and Investment

The ⁢newly launched ⁣80GWh project, located adjacent to Phase I, represents a total investment of‌ 22 ​billion yuan.⁤ It will focus on the production of power batteries, energy storage batteries, and module packs, ‍alongside research and advancement, ⁣manufacturing, and sales of energy management systems.

Upon completion, the project is projected to generate an annual output value exceeding 22 billion yuan and create over​ 6,000 jobs.

Industrial ⁢Chain Investment Promotion

On September 25, Yichang ⁤CORNEX hosted an industrial chain investment promotion and project signing event in ‌Yichang. Sixteen projects, totaling 14.2 billion yuan in investment,were signed,covering key areas of the new energy industry chain,including positive and negative electrode materials,precision structural components,and battery cell manufacturing. ​
