Cosmic Dreams Deferred: Planetarium Closes Its Doors
The National Astronomical Research Institute (NARIT) announces the temporary suspension of planetarium services and astronomy exhibitions at all five public service areas.
This decision is made to facilitate NARIT’s hosting of the Southeast Asia Planetarium, Education and Awareness Conference 2024. This groundbreaking event, the first of its kind in Southeast Asia, will allow NARIT to develop staff potential and enhance the quality of services provided at the planetariums and exhibitions.
The following public service areas will be closed during this period:
Sirindhorn Astronomical Park, Mae Rim District, Chiang Mai Province: Closed from 2:00 PM onwards on November 24, 2024, and from November 25 to 28, 2024. Reopening on Friday, November 29, 2024.
The 7th Cycle Anniversary Observatory at Suranaree University of Technology, Nakhon Ratchasima: Closed from November 24 to 29, 2024. Reopening on Saturday, November 30, 2024.
Observatory in honor of the 7th anniversary of His Majesty the King, Khon Kaen, Khuean Ubonrat subdistrict, Ubonrat district, Khon Kaen province: Closed from November 24 to 29, 2024. Reopening on Saturday, November 30, 2024.
Observatory in honor of the 7th birthday anniversary of His Majesty the King, Chachoengsao, Wang Yen Subdistrict, Plaeng Yao District, Chachoengsao Province: Closed from November 24 to 29, 2024.
