The viral video was originally shot by netizen @Zahra Sumar and posted to the Facebook group “Richmond Learns to Park and Drive”, which quickly caused a sensation and heated discussion.

Video shows two women arguing loudly and pushing each other outside the Costco at 9151 Bridgeport Road in Richmond, Canada.

Bystanders tried to intervene and one of the women was knocked to the ground.

A second video posted on social media showed dozens of shoppers witnessing the incident.

In the video, one of the women can be seen blocking the parking space with her body while the van driver honks his horn loudly.

Richmond RCMP told the media they could not confirm whether the viral video on social media was related to the ongoing investigation.

Adrian O’Malley, media liaison officer for the Richmond RCMP, added: “However, I can confirm that on October 20, 2024, Richmond RCMP responded to a case involving two persons in the 9100 block of Bridgeport Road. Fortunately, neither appeared to be injured and both declined medical attention.”

“Costco staff reported the incident and stated it stemmed from a parking conflict.”

Adrian also said that while the incident is not considered a criminal offense due to the consensual nature of the altercation, the Richmond RCMP would like to remind the public that physical altercations can result in arrests and criminal charges.
