The package includes cables for powering the fans and controller,a single-use dose of thermal compound,and mounting hardware. A standalone RGB controller is not included; the cooler requires a compatible motherboard or controller to function.
The cooler features three 120 mm fans with a unique frame design, blades with convex ridges, and hydraulic bearings. The fans,model DF1202512FDMN,have ARGB LEDs and semi-transparent blades designed to diffuse lighting.

The squircle-shaped metallic contact plate is made of copper and is smooth and flat. The screws holding the cold plate are hidden behind a plastic cover. No thermal compound is pre-applied, allowing users to use their preferred paste. The contact plate is large enough for all compatible processors.
Cougar emphasizes RGB lighting in the Poseidon Ultra 360 ARGB, creating a vibrant display. The lighting is diffused by the fan blades and the top of the main block. When connected to a compatible motherboard, the cooler syncs with the system’s lighting theme. Without a 5V ARGB LED-supporting motherboard or controller, the lighting will not activate.
