Could Robert Pattinson Join the MCU? The Future of The Batman Star Explored
Robert Pattinson, known for his role in The Batman, has reportedly met with Marvel Studios head Kevin Feige. This meeting raised questions about Pattinson possibly joining the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU). While discussions happened, they do not mean official talks about a specific role took place.
Pattinson will return as Batman in a sequel directed by Matt Reeves. However, the future of the Batman character is uncertain as new casting choices will occur for the DC Universe’s The Brave and the Bold movie. This leaves Pattinson open to opportunities outside of Warner Bros./DC Studios.
Pattinson is set to work with director Christopher Nolan again, which suggests that his MCU involvement may not happen soon. Fans speculate that he could portray the Marvel character The Beyonder, especially with rumors of a “secret role” in the upcoming film Avengers: Doomsday.
Avengers: Doomsday is scheduled for May 1, 2026, and will feature Robert Downey Jr. returning as Doctor Doom. This film will be followed by Avengers: Secret Wars on May 7, 2027, directed by the Russo brothers. They expressed excitement about teaming up with Marvel again to tell new stories.
