Hove, England – Warwickshire and Sussex settled for a draw in their Rothesay County Championship match after rain disrupted the final day. Warwickshire, needing to batten down the hatches, ended the day at 260-4, leading by 142 runs when the match concluded.
Tom Latham spearheaded Warwickshire’s effort with 69 runs. Alex Davies, the skipper, contributed 58, and Sam Hain remained unbeaten with 53. The weather, however, played a significant role, with 18 overs lost before lunch due to rain and poor light.
Sussex relied heavily on spin bowling. Ollie Robinson even bowled two overs of off-breaks, supporting Jack Carson and james Coles. Coles bowled a marathon 53.3 overs.
