Reports indicate that scammers are using various phone numbers and even impersonating official Ministry of Health profiles on social media. They may claim to offer vaccine appointments or request personal details for “carnet” (vaccination card) renewals.
“These calls are designed to deceive and exploit peopel’s desire to get vaccinated,” the spokesperson added. “Please remember that legitimate vaccination appointments are only scheduled through official channels, such as hospitals and health centers.”
Residents are advised to disregard any unsolicited calls regarding vaccine appointments or carnet renewals. If you receive such a call, hang up immediatly and report it to the authorities.
