COVID-19 Vaccines Available in Coatzacoalcos

Free COVID-19 Boosters and More Available in Citywide Vaccination Drive

Coatzacoalcos, TX ⁤ – Residents have multiple opportunities to get vaccinated against COVID-19 and other preventable diseases​ this week as part of a⁣ citywide campaign.

Free COVID-19 booster shots are⁣ being‍ administered at the ⁤municipal palace parking lot through Friday, December 9th, from 9:30 a.m. to ‍2:00 p.m. The booster being offered ​is Abdala, a Cuban-developed vaccine, providing ⁤protection ⁤against‍ COVID-19 for up to a year.

“anyone​ 5​ years and older is eligible​ for the ‍COVID-19⁤ booster,” said Ana Belén Pérez⁤ García, a nurse with the ⁣Mexican Social Security Institute (IMSS), ⁤who ⁢is administering the⁤ vaccines.”We encourage everyone to take ​advantage of⁢ this prospect to protect themselves ⁣and their loved ones.”

In addition to the COVID-19 booster, the IMSS is also‍ offering vaccines against influenza, pneumococcal disease, tetanus,‌ and the human papillomavirus (HPV) at the municipal palace. The HPV vaccine is ‌available for girls 9 years and older.

ISSSTE Joins Vaccination Effort

The ​Institute of Security and Social Services for⁤ State Workers (ISSSTE) is partnering with the city’s Department of Social Development to‍ bring vaccines directly⁢ to residents⁤ in local markets.

“We want‍ to make it ⁢as​ easy as possible for people to get vaccinated,” said Dr.⁢ Javier ‌Reyes Muñoz, ​head of⁢ the Department of Social ‍Development.⁢ “Our team will be visiting several markets throughout the week, offering a range of vaccines, including the hepatitis C vaccine.”

The ISSSTE vaccination schedule in local markets is as follows:

Wednesday, December‍ 7th: coatzacoalcos Market
Tuesday,‌ December 13th: November 12th Market
sunday, December 18th: ⁢ Úrsulo Galván Market
Tuesday, December 20th: Puerto México Market

Vaccination‌ Efforts Reach City Workers

The vaccination campaign has also reached city employees. dr. Reyes Muñoz reported ​that 70 workers at the Public Works​ Department received various vaccines during ⁤a recent on-site clinic.

“We are⁢ committed to protecting the health and well-being​ of ⁤our entire community,”‌ Dr.Reyes Muñoz emphasized. ​”We encourage everyone to⁤ take ‌advantage of these free vaccination opportunities.”
