The Municipal Animal Epidemic Prevention Inspection Team conducted a special inspection on Pingchuan District’s autumn animal disease prevention and control and veterinary laboratory biosafety.
In order to comprehensively understand the implementation of various work measures for the prevention and control of major animal epidemics in Pingchuan District, scientifically evaluate the quality and effectiveness of the district’s autumn centralized immunization work, and strengthen the biosafety management of veterinary laboratories, from October 24th to 25th, the Municipal Animal Epidemic Prevention Inspection Team A delegation came to our district to carry out special inspections on animal disease prevention and control and veterinary laboratory biosafety in autumn.
The inspection team went to the veterinary laboratory of the District Animal Husbandry and Veterinary Technical Service Center, and the animal husbandry and veterinary stations in Shuiquan, Wangjiashan, Baoji and other townships to conduct on-site inspections of autumn animal epidemic prevention work through information review, discussions and exchanges, site inspections, and on-site sampling. Implementation status, biosafety implementation status of animal pathogenic microorganism laboratories, evaluation of the resistance reduction effect of municipal veterinary antibacterial drugs in 2024 and implementation status of resistance reduction actions. The inspection team randomly inspected 5 natural villages in towns, visited 20 farmers to check immunity files, disinfection and source elimination, and collected 220 livestock and poultry serum samples on the spot. The inspection team also inspected district-level veterinary laboratories and emergency material reserve management.
The inspection team listened to the report on animal epidemic prevention work in our district in the autumn of 2024, and fully affirmed the district’s animal disease prevention and control work and the construction and management of veterinary laboratories. A total of 1,150,700 livestock and poultry of all types have been immunized for autumn prevention, and the centralized immunization work in autumn has been fully completed. Completed 992 immune antibody tests for foot-and-mouth disease in cattle and sheep, 372 immune antibody tests for type O foot-and-mouth disease in pigs, 1,050 immune antibody tests for highly pathogenic avian influenza, 320 immune antibody tests for peste des petits ruminants, and 24,158 brucellosis tests in cattle and sheep. share.
