A devastating accident occurred in the Samre area when a crane fell and overturned, striking a passing motorcyclist and causing injuries.

Incident Details

On September 12, at ⁣2 pm, ⁣Lieutenant Colonel ⁢Natthaphong ⁤Kanarat, Inspector (Detective) of the Bukkhalo⁣ Police Station, received a report of ⁤a crane collapse at a subway⁤ construction site near the entrance of Soi Taksin 9/3, Somdej⁣ Phra Chao Taksin Road (exit), ‌Samre Subdistrict, ⁤Thonburi District, Bangkok.

Accident Scene and Investigation

Upon arrival, officials found the crane lying on its side within⁤ the ‍construction site, with its tip protruding onto the road surface. ​The injured motorcyclist, Mr. Phitsanu​ Chamon, 35, sustained injuries to his right‍ knee⁢ and left shoulder. He was immediately taken to Samitivej Thonburi Hospital for treatment.

Eyewitness Accounts and Cause of the Accident

Eyewitnesses reported ⁤seeing the ‍crane‌ lifting construction materials before​ it began to swing back and forth,​ eventually overturning and ​falling. The crane struck⁤ the passing motorcyclist, causing injuries. Aftermath and Investigation
