Create and Install a Customizable Floating WhatsApp Button with Chat Box, Live Preview, Saved Settings, and One-Click Site-Wide Setup

The Framer Marketplace has introduced a new integration plugin that allows creators to add a customizable floating WhatsApp button to their websites without writing custom code. Developed by Ridhwan Ahsan, the “Chat On Whatsapp” plugin enables users to install a WhatsApp contact widget with real-time preview and one-click site-wide deployment.

The plugin supports configuration of the WhatsApp number with country code, a prefilled message, button label, colors, icon style, side positioning, and spacing adjustments. Users can also enable an optional chat box above the floating button, customizing its title, role, greeting, placeholder, and call-to-action text.

Once configured, the widget is injected into the site via Framer’s custom code system, making the button available across all pages. Settings are saved within the plugin interface, allowing users to revisit, edit, or remove the widget with a single click.

Key features include live preview before installation, multiple icon styles, left or right side positioning, adjustable vertical and horizontal offsets, and support for both icon-only and icon-plus-text display formats. The tool is designed for use across landing pages, business sites, and agency projects seeking a lightweight method to enable direct WhatsApp communication.
