The Crédit Agricole has donated a set of jerseys to the Football Club of Mézidon-Canon in the Calvados department, supporting local amateur football as part of its long-standing commitment to the sport in France.
The donation was made to one of the club’s senior teams, reinforcing the bank’s historical partnership with French football that began in 1974 with amateur clubs and has since expanded to include national competitions and teams.
This initiative aligns with Crédit Agricole’s ongoing support for football at all levels, from grassroots amateur clubs to the French men’s, women’s and youth national teams, as well as competitions such as the Coupe de France and the Coupe Gambardella.
The bank has also extended its involvement to emerging forms of the sport, including women’s football, e-foot, and futsal, reflecting a broader strategy to promote inclusion and participation in football across diverse communities.
Through its Ca Côtesport platform, Crédit Agricole emphasizes that its engagement with football is rooted in regional amateur clubs, which it views as the foundation of its decades-long involvement in the sport.
The club, formerly known as Mézidon-Canon and now called Mézidon-Vallée-d’Auge, is located in Normandy and continues to benefit from local partnerships that support its sporting activities.
