Tejashwi’s cricketing journey began in 2009⁣ when he started playing for Jharkhand. He‌ participated in the Syed⁢ Mushtaq Ali Trophy and ‌Vijay Hazare Trophy matches. Although his cricketing career ended ​in 2013, he was part of​ the Delhi Daredevils (now Delhi Capitals) team in IPL 2008.
