The enduring crime drama, Criminal Minds, now in its 20th year, is gearing up for its 19th season as criminal Minds: Evolution. At IGN Live, showrunner Erica messer, along with cast members Joe Mantegna, aisha Tyler, and Zach Gilford, discussed the upcoming season and the series’ lasting popularity, focusing on the challenges faced by the Behavioral Analysis Unit (BAU).
tyler hinted at the season’s direction,noting its connection to the storyline surrounding Gilford’s character,the killer Elias Voit. She said some individuals “have seen what he has done and maybe want to emulate him.”
Messer attributed the show’s success to its fundamental theme of good versus evil, adding that the current iteration, Evolution, aims to challenge the heroes.
