Inflation growth in Croatia reached a 16-month maximum

Consumer prices in Croatia accelerated in July’s growth rate for the third month in a row, The inflation rate has reached the highest level over the last 16 months. It was particularly influenced by the prices of food and services. This was stated at the end of this week by the Croatian Statistical Office, which published preliminary data. The year -on -year inflation rate in Croatia reached 4.1 %in July. By comparison, consumer prices increased by 3.7 %in the previous month. July inflation was the highest since March last year, in which it reached the same 4.1 %.

In particular, prices in the food category, soft drinks and tobacco products have increased significantly. Prices in this area increased by 6.6 %. This was followed by services that increased by 5.7 %year -on -year. Energy prices, but at a milder pace, also increased, namely 2.3 %. Consumer prices in Croatia and month -on -month comparison recorded acceleration. They increased by 0.4 % after their growth reached 0.2 %.
