Cimex Offers Chinese KYC F3 Pickup trucks in Cuba for $29,950
Cuba’s state-run Cimex corporation began selling Chinese-made KYC model F3 pickup trucks for $29,950, according to reports from the Cuban News Agency (ACN). The vehicles are available at the Cimex agency located on Calle 20,between Primera and Tercera streets,in the Playa municipality.
The trucks are intended for both commercial and personal use. They have a maximum payload capacity of 745 kilograms (1,643 pounds),seating for five, and a 1.6-liter engine.
cimex describes the KYC F3 as a light-duty, double-cabin pickup with a manual transmission and 4×2 drive. It’s designed for daily operations and urban and intercity travel.
The KYC F3 is primarily distributed in latin America and Asia, with both gasoline and diesel versions available. Engine options include a 2.0-liter turbocharged diesel engine producing 114 horsepower.
Compared to other Chinese pickups available in the region, such as the Foton Tunland and the JAC T8, the KYC F3 has a lower payload capacity, making it better suited for medium-duty tasks rather than heavy-duty applications.
Cimex stated that adding the KYC F3 to its offerings is part of a broader strategy to diversify Cuba’s automotive market through agreements with international manufacturers.
Recently, Cibercuba reported that Cimex also began offering Geely vehicles for sale, though at substantially higher prices.
