Doctor Franco Ravera Zunino Hospital Celebrates First Cueca Championship
The Doctor Franco Ravera Hospital wore Zunino to celebrate the First Cueca Championship, an event organized by Fenats Nacional Base of the health facility.
The inauguration was led by the director of the hospital, Alis Catalán, who drew attention in her speech to the importance of reviving national traditions and welcoming everyone present with the spirit of the festival and unity. “We started celebrating the national holidays and we want to thank Fenats Nacional for the initiative that makes us revive the customs of our country. Let’s take this holiday as a meeting to experience Chileanness and welcome those who have come to live in our homeland. It’s a long party, there are many days of celebration, so we hope you enjoy it pleasantly with your families,” said Catalán.
The Event
The event, enlivened by the Coltauco Folklore Ensemble, had a jury consisting of María Isabel Sagredo from O’Higgins Health Service, Héctor Sagredo from Cooperativa Bancrece, Nancy Arcaya from the Los Andes Compensation Fund and Teresa Carrasco, CAE nursing supervisor and president of the jury.
The championship began with a flag salute by laundry officer Mychael Risco, who gave way to competition in the workers category.
The Winners
After a series of lively presentations, the jury determined the results and first went Diego Cabezas from Pediatrics and Teresa Rosales from Physical Medicine; Second place went to Sara Herrera from the People Administration Department and Mauricio Cortés from Food; and third place went to Nayla Farías and Joaquín Salinas from Bodega de Farmacia.
A Message of Gratitude
The president of Fenats Nacional Base del Hospital Regional, Cinthya Báez, offered words of gratitude to everyone involved in hosting the championship, the folklore group of Coltauco and the community of hospital workers and encouraged officials to continue sharing and celebrating together, and thereby strengthening the spirit of friendship and joy in the working environment.
A Celebration of Community and Tradition
The championship not only drew attention to the cueca talent of the hospital’s employees, but also reinforced the sense of community and tradition in the workplace.
