CVS Health Expands Board With Four New Directors
CVS Health is expanding its board of directors, adding four new members after reaching an agreement with Glenview Capital Management, an activist investor. the move increases the board to 16 directors.
Larry Robbins, CEO of Glenview Capital, will join the CVS board along with Leslie Norwalk, Guy Sansone, and doug shulman. Glenview Capital increased its CVS shares by 31% in the third quarter, acquiring 2.8 million shares.
CVS said the decision followed productive talks with Glenview, a long-term investor. The new directors will serve on key committees. Norwalk will join the health services committee, sansone the audit committee, and Shulman the management planning and development committee.
The agreement includes customary confidentiality and standstill provisions.
