The anonymous group behind previous Grand Theft Auto 6 leaks has returned with new leaks and a cryptographic funding scheme that has drawn sharp scrutiny ahead of the game’s scheduled November 19 release. The entity known as Cyberleek surfaced in October after a month of silence, releasing new footage featuring characters Jason and Lucia alongside demands tied to a Solana blockchain meme coin.
Cyberleek’s campaign relied on stretching market capitalization goals up to $30 million in exchange for a full story mode playthrough, end credits, and a "Full 200+GB playable build." The group also demanded that Take-Two Interactive issue a public apology and release physical disks. However, the crypto scheme faltered badly. While the token previously reached highs of $7.8 million in October and $23 million in August, its market cap plummeted to $1.7 million, leaving fans celebrating the token’s crash and warning against potential scams. Despite the missed financial targets, Cyberleek claimed via a website update that a development build named GTA 6: Development Build v1.0.1 had been posted online behind a $40 paywall.
New Leaks and Developer Tool Speculation
The recent wave of leaks included a 24-minute video showing story sequences, followed by additional clips centering on the female protagonist Lucia appearing nude while walking around Vice City, driving, and parachuting. Concurrently, publisher Take-Two Interactive has pursued legal steps by filing subpoenas against Microsoft, Discord, and X to identify infringers and protect its copyrighted work.
It's 25 minutes long. It contains new footage and new cutscenes.Beware of story spoilers.#GTAVI https://t.co/2tcl4XVF52
Publisher Silence and Ongoing Uncertainty
Rockstar previously addressed the leaks by calling them heartbreaking for the development team while urging players to experience the finished product at launch. Take-Two has not responded to requests for comment regarding the latest developments, leaving the true identity of the leakers unconfirmed.
