Cyclones Secure Spots at NCAA Zone Diving Championships
AMES, Iowa – Four Cyclone divers have earned their place at the NCAA Zone Diving Championships, scheduled from March 10-12 in Iowa City. The iowa State team is ready to showcase their skills against top competitors.
Leading the charge is kate Mitchell, who has qualified in all three diving events. Maggie Bendell and Ally Blumenfeld will both compete in the 1-meter and 3-meter competitions, adding depth to the Cyclone squad. Freshman Abby Tollefson will also be participating in the 1-meter event, marking an notable start to her collegiate career.

Ally Blumenfeld also made a strong showing, qualifying for the platform finals with a score of 221.95.She finished in 13th place, narrowly missing an NCAA qualifying score.
Kate Mitchell contributed to the team’s score by finishing 22nd in both the 3-meter and platform events, coming close to reaching the finals. Rookie Abby Tollefson secured 26th place in both the 1-meter and platform events, gaining valuable experience.
