Construction, fueled by investments in infrastructure and housing, could see a 6% rise in salaries for skilled workers.Manufacturing is also projected to experience salary growth of 5% to 6%,driven by anticipated increases in domestic demand and exports.

Regional Variations and Economic Headwinds

While salary growth is generally positive, Tomáš Jurčík, director of the czech Salary and Benefits association, cautions that “due to the effects of the economic downturn, sharp wage increases and the end of the post-inflation period, some employers will not be able to substantially increase employees’ wages.”

He adds that even in 2025, high-tech and specialized positions will likely retain strong negotiating power.

Regional variations in salaries persist, with Prague, the capital, boasting the highest average salaries, expected to exceed 60,000 koruna (approximately $2,750 USD) in 2025. In contrast, regions like Karlovy Vary and Zlín will see average salaries below 40,000 koruna, reflecting differences in economic activity and labor market structures across the Czech republic.

Public Sector Also Sees Gains

Starting January 1st, public sector employees, including civil servants, police officers, and firefighters, will receive an additional 1,400 koruna per month. Pensioners will also benefit from an increase, with the average old-age pension rising by 358 koruna, bringing the average monthly pension to 21,080 koruna.
