Czech Republic international Michal Sadílek has inked a new contract with Dutch club FC Twente, securing his future with the club for at least another season. The 25-year-old midfielder,a key player for Twente as joining in 2020,expressed his delight at extending his stay.
“I’m happy we were able to reach an agreement,” Sadílek said. “This is my fourth season here,and we’ve had some great times in recent years.”
Sadílek’s arrival coincided with a period of resurgence for Twente. “When I first came to the club,we were mid-table and going through a tough time,” he recalled. “Now, we’re consistently in the top half of the table and competing in European competitions. We want to repeat that success this season.”
The midfielder, who previously played for PSV Eindhoven and began his career at Slovácko in the Czech Republic, has become a fan favorite at Twente. His performances have also caught the eye of national team selectors, earning him 24 caps for the Czech Republic and one international goal.
Sadílek’s last appearance for his country came in a June friendly against Malta,where he suffered a leg injury in a scooter accident during his downtime. The injury unfortunately ruled him out of the European Championship.
Sadílek’s commitment to Twente is a testament to the club’s upward trajectory and his own desire to compete at the highest level. With his talent and ambition, he is poised to play a key role in Twente’s continued success.

Dave: Oh, definitely! He’s been crucial to their recent success, ever as he joined from PSV Eindhoven back in 2020. They were struggling when he arrived, but they’ve really turned things around.
Sarah: Wow, so he’s been part of their climb back up?
Dave: Exactly! They’re constantly in the top half of the table now, even qualifying for european competitions. This new contract shows they’re committed to him, and he’s obviously happy to be there too. He said he had a great time these past few seasons.
