PHOENIX – The Arizona Diamondbacks have placed catcher Gabriel Moreno on the 10-day injured list,retroactive to Monday,due to a contusion on his right hand. the injury stems from a wild pitch that struck Moreno on June 6, causing him to miss sporadic playing time.
Moreno, 25, has a .270 batting average with five home runs and 20 rbis in 53 games this season.Throughout his MLB career with both Arizona and the Toronto Blue Jays (2022), he holds a.278 average, 18 home runs, and 122 RBIs over 286 games.the team hopes this period of rest will allow Moreno to fully recover and return to his role behind the plate.
