albrandswaard, in the province of South Holland, experienced a complete tie, with both Geert Wilders’ Party for Freedom (PVV) and Dilan YesilgözS People’s Party for Freedom and Democracy (VVD) receiving an identical 3,011 votes, according to reports from the ANP news agency.
Vote Differences Under 50 in Multiple Locations
Several other municipalities saw exceptionally close results. Landsmeer, in North Holland, witnessed D66 securing 1,346 votes, just one more than the VVD’s 1,345. Duiven, in Gelderland, saw the VVD lead D66 by only three votes.
The closeness continued in oldenzaal, where the Christian Democratic Appeal (CDA) garnered six more votes than the PVV, which itself outperformed the VVD by 26 votes. Zeewolde saw the VVD with a seven-vote advantage over the PVV, while Nijkerk had the PVV ten votes ahead of the CDA.
A total of seventeen municipalities – Schiermonnikoog, Medemblik, Ameland, Zutphen, bladel, Alblasserdam, Het Hogeland, Oudewater, Hof van Twente, Bergen (North Holland), Hillegom, Vlieland, Rozendaal, Goes, Veenendaal, Bronckhorst, and Borsele – all had a difference of fewer than fifty votes between the top two parties.
Goes Shows a Especially Tight Outcome
The city of Goes, in the province of Zeeland, presented a particularly compelling race. The PVV emerged as the largest party with a margin of 38 votes over D66.The PVV also held a 78-vote lead over the VVD, which finished third, while the CDA trailed by sixteen votes.
