Daddy Yankee and Wife Officially Divorced, Sources Say
Reggaeton superstar Daddy Yankee and his wife, mireddys González, have reportedly finalized their divorce, according to sources close to the couple.
Television host and producer Fernan Vélez, known as “El Nalgorazzi,” broke the news on his show “Lo Sé Todo” (Wapa TV) on Monday. Vélez stated that the divorce was finalized the week before Thanksgiving.
“What I’m being told is that they are officially divorced since the week before Thanksgiving,” Vélez revealed.
The couple, who married over 30 years ago, are reportedly in the process of dividing their assets, as they did not have a prenuptial agreement. A court hearing is scheduled for January.
“There’s a lot of money involved here, and also the alimony that would correspond to Mireddys as his ex-wife,” Vélez emphasized.
this news comes after months of speculation about the couple’s relationship. In October, Vélez reported on “Lo Sé Todo” that Yankee and González had resumed plans to dissolve their marriage.
At the time,sources claimed that Yankee was residing in a vacation home the couple owned in Luquillo,which was briefly listed on Airbnb,while gonzález remained in their primary residence in Carolina.
