Des‍ Moines Area Real estate Market Sees Million-Dollar Deals

The Des Moines area real estate ​market continues to⁢ see significant activity, with several million-dollar transactions recorded recently in polk and ‍Dallas counties. These deals ⁣encompass residential, commercial, and agricultural properties, ​reflecting a ‍diverse and dynamic market.

In Grimes, Shane and⁢ Raven Kline acquired a newly constructed house⁤ on 1.2 acres for $1.67 million from Kimberley Development ‌Corp. The 3,493-square-foot residence is located on ‍N.W. Brookefield Court.Eric ‌and Alicia Henderson purchased a two-story home in Johnston for $1.1 million. ‍The 3,672-square-foot⁣ house, built in 2014,⁣ is ⁣situated on N.W. 73rd Place.

Further north, Kent and Malane McCorkle​ invested $2 million in Polk County, ⁣acquiring 230 acres⁣ of cropland near Maxwell from Gregory, Lesli, and david⁣ Meyers. This agricultural land is located near N.E. 158th Avenue and N.E.96th Street.⁣ On ⁢the commercial front, Capco ​6655 DSM LLC, based in Ankeny, paid $1.2 million for a warehouse property in Des Moines.The 1-acre parcel on N.E. 15th Street features a⁣ 10,800-square-foot warehouse‌ built in 2020.

In ⁤Urbandale, Jeremy and Natalie Hellickson bought a house for $2.2⁣ million from Michael and Ellyn Knapp. The property on maple Drive includes a 3,367-square-foot house built in 2022.‌ Maureen⁤ Portal acquired a property‌ in ⁣Des Moines for $1.1 million. The 1-acre parcel on Onondaga Point features a 2,441-square-foot house built⁢ in 1999. Joseph Moser and shannon Sole purchased a two-story house in Des Moines for just ‌over⁣ $1 million. The 2,562-square-foot house, built‌ in 1936, is located on 34th ⁤Street.

District ‌Developer LLC, a consortium including JSC Properties and ‍MidAmerican Energy Co.,⁢ invested $2.4 million in Des Moines, acquiring a 2.5-acre undeveloped parcel from the city. This land, located at 300 S.E. Fourth st., is part of a larger redevelopment project in the East Fourth and East Market streets area.

Dallas County Real Estate ⁤Transactions

In Dallas‌ County,‍ Jeremy Hellickson expanded their real estate holdings, paying $1.3 million to Bjork Acres LLC for two undeveloped residential lots in Van Metre Township. Each parcel ​spans at least 10 acres.⁣ DR ⁢Horton – Iowa LLC,​ based ‍in Ankeny,‌ also made a significant investment, purchasing 10 residential properties in Waukee’s Stratford Crossing for just over $1 million.
