Dallas and the surrounding North Texas region are preparing to host a significant portion of the FIFA World Cup 26, with the city scheduled to host nine matches, including a semi-final at AT&T Stadium.
To coincide with the tournament, FC Dallas and the City of Frisco announced on May 8, 2026, the launch of the FC Dallas Soccer Celebration. This free, 34-day event program is designed to create a family-friendly destination for residents, visitors, and soccer fans throughout the region.
The celebration will be centered at Simpson Plaza, which is located in front of Frisco City Hall and adjacent to both Toyota Stadium and the National Soccer Hall of Fame. The event aims to transform the plaza into a premier gathering place for the sport during the summer.

Fans will have access to live viewings of FIFA World Cup 2026™ matches via large-scale screens. The event program will also include music, special appearances, giveaways, and a variety of interactive experiences, alongside offerings from local food and beverage vendors.
While the FC Dallas Soccer Celebration is open to the public, entry will require free tickets. Additional information regarding the ticketing process is expected to be released in the coming days.
Organizers have integrated specific amenities to ensure guest comfort during the summer heat. The event spaces at Simpson Plaza will feature tented areas and the installation of fans and misters.
The celebration will involve several of the world’s largest national teams. These teams will participate through special programming, fan activations, appearances, and merchandise opportunities.
The National Soccer Hall of Fame, situated near Simpson Plaza, will remain open during the duration of the FC Dallas Soccer Celebration, allowing visitors to view the history and legends of soccer while attending the festivities.
Beyond the fan celebrations in Frisco, the broader Dallas region is preparing its infrastructure for the global event. AT&T Stadium will serve as a primary venue for the nine scheduled matches, including the high-profile semi-final.
To accommodate the expected influx of international athletes, coaches, dignitaries, and fans, the region has coordinated hospitality options featuring more than 130,000 total hotel rooms. These accommodations span across budget, boutique, and luxury categories.
Travel logistics for the tournament will be supported by the region’s two major international airports, facilitating the movement of passengers into and out of the Dallas area.
