Dana Thomas to Write and Produce Book Adaptation

Dirty Pictures, the production company associated with Cate Blanchett, has boarded the documentary Fashionopolis.

The project is being directed by Reiner Holzemer, according to an exclusive report from The Hollywood Reporter published May 15, 2026.

The documentary is based on the book of the same name written by Dana Thomas.

Thomas, described as a noted fashion scribe, is serving as a writer and producer for the film.

She is producing the project alongside Bronwyn Cosgrove, while Danielle Perissi has joined the production as an executive producer.

The announcement of the project is linked to the international landscape of Cannes 2026.
