Dana White has secured television and venue agreements for a potential heavyweight boxing super-fight between Anthony Joshua and Tyson Fury, according to comments made by the UFC chief executive following the UFC 330 event in Philadelphia, though promoter Eddie Hearn continues to dispute terms over location and promotional control.

Contractual Disputes Stall Long-Awaited Heavyweight Clash

The proposed matchup between the two British heavytellers has been discussed for years without coming to fruition. Rumors indicate a deal is in place for a November bout at Madison Square Garden to be broadcast on Netflix, but conflicting stipulations on either side continue to create roadblocks. According to statements reported by Bloody Elbow, White expressed frustration over the lack of finality, stating that both fighters need to show a definitive willingness to compete.

They either want to fight or they don’t… White said after UFC 330, as reported by Bloody Elbow. Listen, to make a fight two guys have to want to fight. Period, end of story. Contracts and this and that? There’s a lot of f—-ing money for grabs in this fight, do you want to fight or do you not want to fight? I don’t give a s—- one way or the other!

Eddie Hearn Claims and Zuffa Boxing Involvement

A major point of contention centers on Eddie Hearn’s insistence that Joshua’s side of the contract mandates the bout take place in the United Kingdom while explicitly barring Zuffa Boxing from operating the event. Despite these claims, White maintains he successfully negotiated a TV and venue deal that runs counter to Hearn’s assertions. Furthermore, White stated he holds no objection to staging the fight in the UK if required.

I don’t give a s—-, do you want to fight or do you not want to fight? White added, according to Bloody Elbow. The fight should have happened ten years ago, is it going to happen now?

Tyson Fury Hints at Future Partnerships

Tyson Fury recently fueled speculation regarding his promotional future by making a surprise appearance at the UFC White House event, walking from the Oval Office to the South Lawn octagon for an interview with Jon Anik. When asked about potential news regarding the long-awaited bout, Fury deferred to the UFC leadership.

I think I’m going to let Dana do the speaking, Fury told Jon Anik, as reported by MMA Fighting. I’ll let him do his announcement… It’s a massive, massive announcement.

While addressing media inquiries at the post-fight press conference, White addressed ongoing rumors that Fury had been barred from entering the United States due to past associations, noting that those claims proved incorrect given Fury’s presence in the country. Fury expressed strong enthusiasm for the matchup with Joshua, outlining a timeline that could involve a tune-up bout under the Zuffa Boxing banner prior to a late 2026 meeting.

Very, very, very excited for this fight, Fury told MMA Fighting regarding the prospective bout with Joshua. It’s been over a decade in the making. For whatever reason it hasn’t happened before. Let’s hope it happens right now, very soon. … Potential fight in August and maybe at the end of the year it happens.
