Darcey Harry, a 22-year-old Welsh rookie, captured her frist Ladies European Tour victory at the Hulencourt Women’s Open in Belgium. Her final round of 4-under 68 secured a three-shot victory over France’s Nastasia Nadaud adn New Zealand’s Amelia garvey. This Hulencourt Women’s Open win marks a notable milestone in her professional golf career.
Harry’s extraordinary round included five birdies and an eagle on the par-5 13th hole, propelling her to the top of the leaderboard. Having turned professional last year, Harry earned her tour card through qualifying in December. The ladies European Tour victory also secures her a spot in the AIG Women’s Open.

“I don’t even know what to say right now,” Harry said. “I’m so excited. I didn’t think I’d ever picture myself winning on the tour, so it’s so nice to know I’ve finally done it.”
“I think the last putt was probably the most nervous I’ve ever been in my life,” Harry added.
“I was thinking that walking down the 18th and I was pretty nervous about not getting into that [AIG Women’s Open], so I think that’s another huge win for me this week,” Harry said.
