Daugavpils’ Artistic Collectives Prepare for Music Bank Finale and a Resonant 2025 Season

"Daugavpils is thrilled to host this nationwide event," says Jevgeņijs Ustinskovs, the artistic director of Vienības nama collectives, who will also conduct the concert. "We’re excited to present a ‘pre-opening’ program, exclusive to attendees, where you’ll hear new compositions by our young soloist Elīna Belinska, alongside Ilona Bageli, performing a Latgalian folk song "Auga, Auge Rūžeņa" in Raimonds Pauls’ arrangement."
Gunārs Kalniņš will be a distinguished guest, kickstarting the finale with the mixed choir "Daugava" in a moving rendition of Raimonds Pauls’ "Balto Dziesmu". The concert will also see the first-ever performance of "Sitiet Bungas" by the group "Autobuss Debesīs", and Ivo Fomins revealing his latest compositions. The stage will be further enriched by performers like Mika Galvanovska and the group "The Sound Poets".

The Music Bank 2024 finale will stream live on LTV1, Latvijas Radio 2, and LSM.lv, with an in-person option at Daugavpils Olympic Center.
