about Dr. Dave Chokshi
Dr. Chokshi currently practices medicine at Bellevue Hospital and holds the position of Sternberg Family Professor of Leadership at the City College of New York. He previously served as the 43rd Health Commissioner of New York city from 2020 to 2022, leading the city’s public health response to the COVID-19 pandemic.
During his tenure as Health Commissioner,Dr. Chokshi oversaw a large-scale vaccination effort, successfully administering vaccinations to over six million New Yorkers as reported by KFF.
