David Cameron Joins DLA Piper as Consultant

David cameron, former British Prime Minister, has joined DLA Piper, a City law firm, as a consultant. The appointment aims to enhance the firm’s ability to advise clients on international business challenges and opportunities.
Frank Ryan, DLA Piper’s global co-CEO, saeid David Cameron’s appointment “further positions us to counsel clients on navigating challenges and seizing possibility wherever they do business.”
Cameron, who served as Prime Minister from 2010 to 2016 and recently as Foreign Secretary from 2023 to 2024, was in talks with DLA Piper last month before the appointment was confirmed Thursday.
Charles Severs, the other global co-CEO, added that Cameron’s “vast experience in global leadership and policymaking will be a tremendous asset to our leadership team,” enhancing the firm’s ability to deliver legal services worldwide.
DLA Piper, the largest law firm in the UK by revenue, was the first to exceed £3 billion and $4.2 billion globally in the 2024 financial year. The firm also has a government affairs practice group that includes former political figures such as Lord David Blunkett and former U.S. Senator Richard Burr.
