The David Lynch collection showcases the director’s unique style. Items range from home furnishings and recording equipment to relics from his iconic films and TV series. This is a unique possibility to explore the creative mind behind some of cinema’s most surreal works.
Twin Peaks enthusiasts will find a treasure trove of items. Coffee machines, a “Log Lady” mug, walkie-talkies bearing Lynch’s and co-creator Mark Frost’s names, deer heads, and a red curtain and patterned rug reminiscent of the “Red Room” are all up for grabs. These props offer a tangible connection to the groundbreaking television series.
The auction also features items from Lynch’s films. Film researchers might potentially be notably interested in scripts and production materials from Lynch’s uncompleted projects, Ronnie Rocket and The Dream of the Bovine. These projects offer a glimpse into the ideas and concepts that never made it to the screen.
Beyond filmmaking, the auction reveals Lynch’s diverse interests. Several electric guitars, including a custom-built five-necked console guitar designed by Danny Ferrington, are available. Lynch was a dedicated musician, releasing two studio albums and collaborating with various artists.
The sale also highlights Lynch’s talent as a furniture designer.Power tools, designer furniture by Eames and Knoll, and examples of Lynch’s own work are included. These items showcase his artistic vision beyond the realm of film.
An incense burner made in 1974 and a gold-colored Buddha statuette reflect Lynch’s interest in transcendental meditation, a practice he embraced in the early 1970s.
The auction even includes ashtrays and cigarette lighters, a poignant reminder of Lynch’s past habit, which he quit after being diagnosed with emphysema in 2024.
