The homegrown Let’s Go Festival, curated by siblings Chris Hartman and Liz Rawlings, is set to return June 6-7 at the Anne Arundel County Fairgrounds. This indie and alt-rock focused event features headliners such as Young the Giant, Milky Chance and The Maine on friday, followed by Third Eye Blind, Hot Mulligan and the Starting Line on Saturday. Local acts, including students from school of Rock, will also perform. Attendees can enjoy lawn games and are welcome to bring their own chairs.
Celebrating its 30th anniversary,the legendary Warped Tour will land at RFK Festival Grounds in washington,D.C., June 14-15. D.C.is one of only three cities hosting the tour this year. The lineup includes 3OH!3, All Time Low, Avril Lavigne, Bowling for Soup, Machine Gun Kelly, Motion city Soundtrack, Simple Plan and Sublime, among others.A livestream will be available for those unable to attend in person.
On June 21, the Home Rule Music Festival will take place at The Parks at Walter Reed in Northwest D.C., celebrating D.C. music and culture through the lens of jazz and go-go. this free festival features Backyard Band, Plunky & The oneness of Juju, New Impressionz, Imani Grace-Cooper and the Farafina Kan Ensemble. Todo Sonido, a celebration of Latin American music, is scheduled for July 12 at Wolf Trap.The festival spans genres from rock to salsa, offering something for all generations. Juanes, Kany García and Cimafunk are among the performers. The event includes access to two stages, water bottle filling stations, air-conditioned restrooms and free parking.Attendees can bring their own picnics, including alcoholic beverages. Gates open at 2:30 p.m.
The National Cannabis Festival, typically held in April, is moving to July 18-19 at RFK Festival Grounds. Headliners include Big Boi, Three 6 Mafia, Ty Dolla $ign and Curren$y, with local acts Backyard Band and Black Alley also performing. Open to those 21 and older,the festival combines music with marijuana advocacy,featuring an exhibitor’s fair,Grower’s World,workshops and a zero-proof bar.
Celebrating its 20th anniversary, DC Jazzfest will take place Aug. 27-31 at The Wharf. Founded in 2005 as the Duke Ellington Jazz Festival, it also includes the DCJF Education Program. This year’s headliners feature the Eddie Palmieri Afro-Caribbean Jazz Octet, Ron Carter, the Branford Marsalis Quartet, Lalah Hathaway and more.The festival is family-pleasant, with numerous bars and restaurants nearby.
oceans Calling is set to rock the Ocean City Boardwalk Sept. 26-28. noah Kahan, Lenny Kravitz, Green Day, Fall Out Boy and Weezer are among the performers. Organized in partnership with Rockville-born O.A.R.,the festival includes three stages of music and special programming for foodies featuring Robert Irvine,the Voltaggio brothers and Anne Burrell. Jolly Roger amusement Park is located within the festival grounds.
Also running Sept. 26-28, All Things go will be held at Merriweather Post Pavilion. Noah Kahan, Lucy Dacus, Clairo, Paris Paloma, Doechii, Kesha and Djo (Joe Keery) are headlining.The festival features over 40 artists on two stages, interactive art, local beers and cocktails and a variety of food options.
