Deadly Blast Rocks Lebanon: UN Investigation Uncovers Shocking Truth Behind Pager Explosion
Lebanon Reveals Cause of Explosions in Wireless Pager Devices
A preliminary investigation by Lebanese authorities into the explosions of wireless communication devices in Lebanon has revealed that the devices were rigged with explosives before arriving in the country.
According to a letter sent to the UN Security Council, the devices included pagers and other wireless communication devices used to send electronic messages, which triggered the explosions.
Investigation and Aftermath
The investigation found that the devices were detonated by an electronic message, resulting in attacks that killed 37 people and injured nearly 3,000.
Hezbollah Secretary-General Hassan Nasrallah admitted that his group had suffered a “major and unprecedented” blow in its history, threatening Israel with a “severe reckoning” after allegedly blowing up thousands of communications devices.
International Response
The UN Security Council will meet to discuss the bombing, which has raised concerns about the escalating conflict in the region.
Israel’s Defense Minister Yoav Galant stated that the new phase of the war against Hezbollah holds great opportunities, but also entails great risks, stressing the continuation of the “order of operations.”
Escalating Tensions
Galant added that Hezbollah feels defeated, and their military operations will continue, with the goal of bringing the residents of the north safely back to their homes.
He warned that Hezbollah will pay an increasing price as time goes on, escalating tensions in the region.
