The beloved actor, known for his hilarious holiday sweater campaigns benefiting Toronto’s Hospital for Sick children, has unveiled his sixth annual fundraiser, featuring none other than Deadpool, Kidpool, and the original Wonder Woman, Lynda Carter.
In a side-splitting video posted on social media, Deadpool, played by Reynolds, embarks on a mission with Kidpool to “eliminate sick kids.” Their R-rated antics hit a snag until Carter arrives,ready to lend a hand.
But in a hilarious twist, Carter’s conversion into Wonder Woman takes an unexpected turn, landing her in an “ugly holiday sweater” instead of her iconic costume.
“That is one f ugly sweater,” Kidpool quips, leaving Deadpool to blame the “comic company’s lawyers” for the mishap.
Reynolds’ annual holiday campaigns have become a beloved tradition, raising over $3 million for SickKids since 2018. This year, Reynolds and his wife, Blake Lively, are matching all donations up to $500,000 until midnight on December 24, 2024.
The campaign has not only generated significant funds but has also raised awareness for SickKids’ mission, garnering over 400 million media impressions.
