Los Angeles — Lynne Marie Stewart, affectionately known for her iconic role as Miss Yvonne in the cult classic series Pee-wee’s Playhouse, passed away on Friday, February 21, at the age of 78. Born and raised in Los Angeles, Stewart’s illustrious career began with this theater troupe, residing in Hollywood. It was there that she met her future co-star, Paul Reubens, known for his iconic role as Pee-wee Herman. Stewart’s portrayal of the enchanting Miss Yvonne endeared her to millions of Americans, cementing her status as a beloved television figure.

Her role as Miss Yvonne is what first captured the hearts of many, but Stewart’s range extended far beyond this.
