by Lisa Park - Tech Editor

Just over six months after the release of the sequel to one of Hideo Kojima’s most personal games, will see Death Stranding 2: On the Beach arrive on PC. Kojima Productions has now revealed the PC system requirements for the highly anticipated title.

Death Stranding 2 PC System Requirements

The requirements, available on the Steam and Epic Games storefronts, are surprisingly accessible with the exception of the substantial 150GB of hard drive space needed for installation. While neither Steam nor Epic Games explicitly states whether a Solid State Drive (SSD) is required, the official PlayStation blog confirms We see, as expected. Here’s a breakdown of the minimum and recommended specifications:

Even modest PCs should be able to run the game, albeit with some compromises in resolution and frame rates. The most demanding component will be the graphics card, but even older models should be able to handle it with some adjustments.

The recommended graphics cards don’t require the very latest Nvidia 5000 series, though AMD users may need to push their GPUs a bit harder or make some configuration adjustments. The 16GB of RAM requirement is also fairly standard, avoiding a potential bottleneck for many systems.

PC Configuration Options for Death Stranding 2: On the Beach

In addition to the system requirements, the PC version will support Nvidia DLSS 4, AMD FSR 4, and Intel XESS 2 technologies. A new technical feature is the inclusion of support for the Pico (Progressive Image Compositor) scaling system, developed by Guerrilla Games for the Decima engine – the same scaling method used in the PlayStation 5 version of the game. Native anti-aliasing is also included.

The game will also support ultra-wide monitors, both in general gameplay and cutscenes, specifically catering to users with 21:9 monitors for a cinematic experience. It can even support screens with a 32:9 aspect ratio. Players with more standard monitors will also have several configuration options available.

for those already playing on PlayStation 5, compatibility with 21:9 monitors will be implemented for the console version on the same day as the PC launch, .
