Nixxes Software and Kojima Productions have officially detailed the PC system requirements for ’s release of Death Stranding 2: On the Beach, indicating the game is designed to run on a broad range of hardware configurations while supporting the latest performance enhancement technologies.
Built on the Decima Engine, the game offers four graphical categories, each targeting a different performance and visual fidelity level. The minimum specifications aim for resolution at 30 frames per second, requiring an NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1660 or AMD Radeon RX 5500 XT 8GB, paired with an Intel Core i3-10100 or AMD Ryzen 3 3100 processor, and 16GB of RAM.
Moving up to medium settings allows for gameplay at 60fps, demanding an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3060 12GB or AMD Radeon RX 6600, alongside an Intel Core i5-11400 or AMD Ryzen 5 5600 CPU.
The recommended specifications target resolution at 60 frames per second, necessitating an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3070 or AMD Radeon RX 6800, coupled with an Intel Core i7-11700 or AMD Ryzen 7 5700X processor. Finally, the very high preset is designed for resolution at 60fps, requiring an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4080 or AMD Radeon RX 9070 XT.
Across all categories, 16GB of RAM is a consistent requirement, alongside Windows 10 or 11 (version 1909 or newer), and a 150GB SSD for storage. A “Portable” preset has also been implemented, specifically tailored for handheld gaming PCs like the Steam Deck and ASUS ROG Ally.
Performance Enhancement Technologies

Death Stranding 2: On the Beach will support performance-boosting technologies including DLSS 4, FSR 4, and XeSS 2. It remains unclear whether the implementation of DLSS 4 will include the new Frame Generation (MFG) feature.
Notably, the game will not feature ray tracing capabilities. However, ultrawide monitor support is confirmed, with all cinematics designed for a 21:9 aspect ratio. Gameplay will also support 32:9, while 16:9 users can enable a 21:9 view from the settings for a wider field of view.
