The US presidential election situation is changing after the televised presidential debate between US Democratic presidential candidate Vice President Kamala Harris and former President Donald Trump’s Republican candidate.
Donations and approval ratings are focused on the Harris camp. In particular, with Taylor Swift, a global pop star from Pennsylvania, declaring her support for Harris, former President Trump appears to be on the defensive.
The New York Times reported that major donors to the Trump camp expressed concerns after the debate, and the Democratic Party raised a large amount of money within hours of the debate.
According to ActBlue, an online donation platform for Democratic Party politicians and progressive groups, the Democratic Party raised $43 million within a few hours of the start of the debate.

Former President Trump’s supporters expressed disappointment, with some saying he failed to expose Harris’ lies during the debate.

Some say a second televised debate is needed to make up for former President Trump, who was on the defensive. Harris’ side offered a second debate immediately after the previous day’s debate, but the Trump camp did not immediately respond.
However, during his visit to Shanksville, Pennsylvania, former President Trump said that the possibility of the NBC debate on the 25th of this month is still open.
Vice President Harris and former President Trump met at a memorial service to commemorate the 23rd anniversary of the September 11 terrorist attacks held at Ground Zero in Manhattan, New York.
They shook hands and exchanged greetings, with no separate speeches as the National September 11 Memorial Museum decided to limit speeches by politicians.
President Joe Biden attracted attention by briefly wearing a ‘Trump 2024’ hat while visiting a fire station in Shanksville, Pennsylvania, but the White House explained that it was to emphasize bipartisan unity to commemorate the 23rd anniversary of the September 11 attacks.
