Bulgarians’ Concerns Over the Country’s Political Situation
According to a recent nationally representative survey by the sociological agency “Alfa Research”, almost two-thirds of Bulgarians consider the current political situation in the country alarming.
The survey, conducted at the start of the election campaign for the next early elections on October 27, reveals that 61.6% of the respondents define the situation as “extremely scary, with destabilization and institutions that do not work”. This view is prevalent across all social and electoral groups, with only a slight deviation among residents of big cities and GERB sympathizers, who are less critical, according to the sociologists.
On the other hand, just over a quarter of Bulgarians (28.5%) believe that the situation is normal and has not changed significantly compared to previous years.
The survey highlights the growing concerns among Bulgarians about the country’s political stability and the need for effective institutions.
