The Quakers overcame an early 3-1 deficit by scoring three runs in the third inning, highlighted by sophomore infielder Nick Spaventa’s RBI double. Penn then extended their lead in the fifth inning when sophomore outfielder Gavin Degnan delivered a two-run single to put the Quakers ahead 7-3.

Prior to the series finale, Penn split a Saturday doubleheader at Princeton, shutting out the Tigers 12-0 in Game 1 before dropping Game 2 by a score of 7-4. The split left Penn with a 15-18 overall record, while Princeton improved to 12-22 overall and 6-9 in Ivy League play.
