Delhi Congress Chief Devender Yadav Criticizes AAP Over Failing Healthcare Facilities
Delhi Congress chief Devender Yadav criticized the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) on November 30, 2024, for the state of healthcare in Delhi, particularly the Mohalla Clinics. He stated that these clinics suffer from a lack of doctors and nurses.
During the ‘Delhi Nyaya Yatra’ event, Yadav recalled that Arvind Kejriwal, the former Chief Minister and AAP national convener, had promised to establish 1,000 Mohalla Clinics. Yadav claimed that fewer than half of these clinics were actually set up. He described many clinics as dilapidated, lacking essential staff and medications. Instead of serving the public, he alleged, these facilities have become havens for stray animals and anti-social groups.
Yadav also accused the clinics of conducting false pathology and radiology tests, claiming that payments are made to private labs under the guise of referrals.
