Delhi Woman Murdered; Friend Held in connection
An 18-year-old woman was murdered in delhi on Sunday, allegedly by a friend who then attempted to burn her body. The incident has sparked a police investigation into the crime and the suspect’s motives.
The woman, a student at Delhi University’s School of Open Learning (SOL), left home in the morning to attend classes. When she did not return by afternoon, her mother called her. The student told her mother she would be back soon.
According to police, the woman last spoke to her mother around noon, saying she would return shortly.When she failed to come home,her family began searching for her.
The family then received a call from the father of Arshkrit Singh, a friend of the woman. He informed them that his son had been stabbed in Sanjay Van, Mehrauli, in South Delhi and was admitted to a hospital in Pitampura.
