Delhi Pollution Update: Key Points
Delhi NCR faces severe pollution levels, exacerbated by stubble burning in nearby states. The Air Quality Index (AQI) remains dangerously high, with readings such as 919 in Mundka and 762 in ITI Jahangirpuri.
Emergency Measures
The Commission for Air Quality Management (CAQM) has imposed Stage 4 of the Graded Response Action Plan (GRAP) due to an increase in AQI levels, reaching an average of 457. This action includes an 8-point plan, notably banning trucks from entering Delhi unless they carry essential goods.
