Delia Stokes (née McCrohan) of Navan, County Meath, Ireland, died peacefully on Tuesday, April 28, 2026, surrounded by her family. She was in the care of the staff at Beaufort Nursing Home in Navan at the time of her death, according to a death notice published by RIP.ie on Wednesday, April 29, 2026.

Born and formerly of Banna, Tralee, County Kerry, Ms. Stokes is predeceased by her husband, Kevin. She is survived by her children, Jane, Barry, and Paula, as well as her sons-in-law, Christy, Patrick, and John, and her sister, Tess.

The death notice also mentions Ms. Stokes is survived by sisters-in-law, nephews, nieces, grandnephews, grandnieces, relatives, neighbors, and friends.

Reposing will take place at Fitzsimons Funeral Home, Canon Row, Navan, on Thursday evening from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM. A removal service will be held on Friday morning, arriving at St. Mary’s Church, Navan, for Funeral Mass at 10:00 AM, followed by burial in St. Mary’s Cemetery.

The family has requested that flowers be omitted, with donations, if desired, to be made to the Irish Cancer Society or Aware.

For those unable to attend in person, the Funeral Mass will be livestreamed on NavanParish.ie. A Condolence Book is available on the RIP.ie website for messages of sympathy.

The Stokes family expressed their gratitude to the staff of Our Lady’s Hospital and Beaufort House for their care of Ms. Stokes during her illness.
