Dell and NVIDIA Boost AI Server Production Amid Surging Demand
As artificial intelligence adoption accelerates, Dell Technologies and NVIDIA are ramping up production of AI servers to power the next generation of AI factories. Thes servers, the engines of AI development, are crucial for meeting the exponentially growing demand for AI technologies.
Dell Technologies, a key player in this AI renaissance, has partnered with NVIDIA for years. Michael Dell, chairman and CEO of Dell Technologies, highlighted the company’s mission to bring AI to a global customer base. Dell anticipates its AI server business to grow by at least $15 billion this year.
The latest Dell AI servers, equipped with NVIDIA Blackwell, offer a substantial performance boost. They provide up to 50 times more AI reasoning inference output and a fivefold enhancement in throughput compared to the previous hopper platform. These advancements enable customers to generate tokens for innovative AI applications, addressing critical global challenges.
Dell is already shipping servers with NVIDIA GB200 at scale to customers like CoreWeave. One of Dell’s U.S. factories can ship thousands of NVIDIA Blackwell GPUs weekly. This rapid deployment capability led a major customer to choose Dell for deploying 100,000 NVIDIA GPUs in just six weeks.

Inside Dell’s U.S. facilities, employees assemble compute-dense NVIDIA Blackwell generation servers. These servers, containing 1.2 million parts, are built and tested with remarkable speed. Dell emphasizes its ability to engineer compute, network, and storage assembly under one roof, enabling rapid deployment and integration.
“We’re on a mission to bring AI to millions of customers around the world,” said Michael Dell, chairman and chief executive officer, Dell Technologies.
The destination for these servers are advanced data centers, requiring extensive cabling and cooling systems. A single data center can contain thousands of miles of network cable and piping to manage the immense heat generated by AI computations.
What’s next
With AI factories planned worldwide, including in the European Union, India, Japan, Saudi Arabia, the UAE, and Norway, the demand for these AI engines is expected to continue its rapid growth. Dell and NVIDIA are positioned to remain at the forefront of this technological wave, driving innovation and meeting the evolving needs of the AI landscape.
