Free Dementia Support Groups Offered in Longmeadow

Ruth’s House Assisted Living Residence in Longmeadow,Mass., is hosting specialized dementia support groups for local residents and their families this June. The sessions aim to provide a safe habitat for caregivers seeking emotional support and practical advice for managing dementia care.
The dementia support groups will convene on June 9 and June 23, running from 10 to 11:30 a.m. each day. Scott Weiss, a certified support group facilitator with experience supporting caregivers of individuals with Alzheimer’s disease, will lead the discussions.
The sessions are free and open to the public, but seating is limited and available on a first-come, first-served basis. Light refreshments will be provided.
