Release date: 2024-09-13 23:48

Physical education plays a crucial role in shaping the skills of athletes, and the Hong Kong Open Badminton Championships is a testament to this. The Hong Kong team, “Deng Xie Pair,” consisting of Deng Junwen and Xie Yingsuet, has made a remarkable comeback in the <a href="https://newsdirectory3com/wtt-macau-sai-xinwens-combination-advanced-3-0-to-the-semi-finals-liu-shiwen-said-he-is-confident-in-mixed-doubles_xu-xin_liang-jingkun_chen-meng/” title=”WTT Macau Sai Xinwen's combination advanced 3-0 to the semi-finals Liu Shiwen said he is confident in mixed doubles_Xu Xin_Liang Jingkun_Chen Meng”>mixed doubles quarter-finals.

The third-seeded pair faced off against the eighth seed, Goh Soon Huat and Lai Pei Jing of Malaysia. Despite being at a disadvantage in the early stages, the “Deng Xie Pair” managed to turn the game around, winning the first game 21-18.

Xie Yingsuet’s impressive net play was a key factor in their victory. However, the pair struggled to maintain their momentum in the second game, trailing behind 5-11. Deng Junwen attributed this to the exhaustion from the first game, which caused him to be distracted in the early stages of the second game.

After regrouping and making adjustments, the “Deng Xie Pair” launched an 8-2 offensive, catching up to 13-all. They then regained the initiative, winning the game 21-17. The pair’s impressive comeback has earned them a spot in the semi-finals, where they will face off against the second seed, Jiang Zhenbang and Wei Yaxin of the national team.

Deng Junwen reflected on their strategy, saying, “(Today) we tried to tell ourselves that we must increase the speed at the beginning, don’t care how hard it is, and make ourselves more excited.” Xie Yingsuet added, “(At the scene) It seems that there are more and more spectators, as if all the citizens are playing with us. It’s very exciting.”

The “Deng Xie Pair” has proven their skills and determination, and their fans are eagerly awaiting their next match. Will they be able to overcome the challenges and emerge victorious in the semi-finals?
